June Bank Holiday weekend games More News ...
Published - 5th June 2017

Two home games to report over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The 1s were well beaten by Merrion 3rds in the Park on Sunday. Merrion batted first and thanks largely to a century from Alan Parkinson, set a formidable target of 226. After the in-form Nilesh was dismissed early, the chase never got going and we were all out for just 144.

The 4s took on Division 16 table toppers Adamstown in the Park on the Bank Holiday Monday. Stand-in skipper Bajee won the toss and elected to bat first. Manish was the stand out performer with a brilliant unbeaten 77 while some useful cameos from Bajee and Jestin saw us post 173-8 off our 40 overs. Although we were short a couple of bowlers it was a total we were confident of defending. However the few raindrops that appeared towards the end of our innings turned into a downpour during the break and play did not resume. Since the reverse fixture last April was also rained off there will need to be a refix.

The 3s are in action in Division 12 this Wednesday against Leinster in Rathmines.
